Rolly Pollies Music Instructor
Enthusiastic and energetic individual needed for instruction of early childhood music classes. Position involves teaching 45 minute music classes to children ages 6 months through 5 years old. Teaching experience with young children preferred. Musical knowledge a must, including ability to read music notation. Training process involves one-on-one instruction with program director and team teaching music classes. Salary for training and teaching will be on an hourly basis, commensurate with experience. We are a dynamic new children’s center dedicated to total child development. Offering the finest in motor skills, creative arts and music programs, Rolly Pollies strives to provide our students (ages 6 months to 12 years) with the ideal environment in which to learn and thrive.
The Creative Arts program philosophy at Rolly Pollies is “The joy is in the process, rather than the product….” Our Art Program is designed to afford children the opportunity to experiment, create, get a little bit messy and have FUN! Giving our children an atmosphere where they are free to create and express themselves is what our program is all about. Duties of the position include:
• Greeting children and their parents with enthusiasm.
• Assisting children in a way that encourages creativity.
• Engaging the children in meaningful dialog pertaining to the theme of the week.
• Assisting the Art Director in preparing the art materials for each class.
• Cleaning up after each class and setting up before each class.
The ideal candidate would have experience working with children, but it is not absolutely necessary. Training will be provided and pay will be commensurate with experience.
