NAEYC, the National Association for Sport and Physical Education, and the US Department of Health and Human Services all recommend that preschool programs offer physical education.

There are many reasons why. First, young children form healthy habits early in life. Secondly, movement can help children develop, not only motorically but emotionally and socially as well.

Our specially designed preschool adventures program is rooted in the belief that learning through doing is fundamental for young children and movement is essential to learning.

MAKEUP POLICY.  While no tuition credit will be given for family vacations or times when a child is home due to illness, Rolly Pollies does allow pre-scheduled make-up classes.  If a make-up time in the pre-school class is not available, a gym, art class or open play session may be substituted for the missed class.

Ms. Jenn (Severna Park).  Ms. Jenn has been teaching with Rolly Pollies for 12 years. She is a mom to 3 kids (ages 18, 13 and 4). She studied Early Childhood Education at Anne Arundel Community College and then the College of Notre Dame. She loves being a part of the Rolly Pollies family! Her favorite thing is bringing fitness, learning and fun together to create a foundation of confidence and a will to challenge yourself!

Ms. Shannon (Severna Park).  Ms. Shannon was a TA at Keneseth Israel pre-school for three years before taking a year off to be a stay-at-home mom. She has now been with Rolly Pollies for 9 wonderful years and has three beautiful daughters (ages 10, 7, & 5). Shannon also has a love of music and enjoys sharing her vast collection of instruments and musical knowledge with the kids. She loves teaching, getting messy, and creating smiles all the while wearing the silliest socks!

Ms. Pam (Crofton). Pam is a mother of 2 amazing little girls (ages 8 and 2).  She is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.  Ms. Pam believes strongly in learning through hands on experiences and positive reinforcements.  She does not like to hear the words “I can’t do it” from anyone, instead she encourages children to change their perspective and try again.  When Ms. Pam is not at Rolly Pollies she is spending time with her family.  She is very excited to be working with Ms. Lisa to make sure that their students will have a positive learning experience in a warm and nurturing classroom setting.

Ms. Lisa (Crofton).  Ms. Lisa has over 10 years of experience in the childcare field.  She is a proud mom of three children (ages 12, 8, 8) and a puppy. She and her family enjoy swimming, soccer, and playing on the trampoline. They also love visiting the local library. She is passionate about structured academic play-based learning and using fun, positive reinforcements in the classroom. She is very excited to be teaching with Ms. Pam and working together to get your kids excited about learning.
