Program Information
WHY A ROLLY POLLIES PRE-SCHOOL PROGRAM?
NAEYC, the National Association for Sport and Physical Education, and the US Department of Health and Human Services all recommend that preschool programs offer physical education.
There are many reasons why. First, young children form healthy habits early in life. Secondly, movement can help children develop, not only motorically but emotionally and socially as well.
Our specially designed preschool adventures program is rooted in the belief that learning through doing is fundamental for young children and movement is essential to learning.
ENROLLMENT (2024/2025): February 12th will begin enrollment for the 2024/25 school year. Classes fill on a first come, first served basis. All enrollment requires a $110 deposit to secure your child's spot. Please call or email to request your preferred days.
Program will run Sept. 3, 2024 - June 7th, 2025
OPEN HOUSE: Scheduled for March 26, 2024 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. Wanna bring your kids? Sign them up for the Open Play that coincides. You may always call to schedule private tour at a day and time that works better for you.

Ms. Nikki - Fully Credited MSDE Preschool Lead Teacher and Director Certified.
“Roll” Model since 2014.
Education - Graduated Catonsville High School in 2002 and received her Associates of Applied Science degree in Medical assisting.
Her favorite things include enjoying a good thunderstorm, being outside in nature, and hanging with family and friends. Her favorite color is purple.
Ms. Nikki is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Preschool Program including both the classroom and gym curriculums, administration and professional development. You can frequently find her peeking into classes to say "Hi" to the kids and parents. She has an incredible calming presence and gives great snuggles when needed.
Ms. Carolyn - Fully Credited MSDE Preschool Lead Teacher.

Education - Graduated High School in 2009 and received her Associates Degree in Health, Wellness, and Physical Education.
Her favorite things to do are writing short stories, listening to storms, movie nights, playing card and board games and her favorite color is green.
Ms. Carolyn has an insatiable passion for teaching and learning. Her dedication and enthusiasm in the classroom is contagious and brings a new level of excitement to learning!
Ms. Erica - Fully Credited MSDE Preschool Lead Gym Teacher.

Education - Graduated from Chesapeake High School in 2015 and is now attending Anne Arundel Community College to pursue her Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy.
Her favorite things to do are hanging out with friends, relaxing and eating Dunkin Donuts. Her favorite color is blue.
Ms. Erica loves to use her knowledge and experience (10 years!) in Cheerleading to incorporate gross motor skills into all of the daily activities. She is revered by her peers for her creativity in designing THE BEST setups with the gym equipment. Getting to see the children she teaches gain confidence through their physical successes is one of her favorite parts of the job.

Education - Graduated High School 2005 and earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree in 2006.
Her favorite things to do include movie nights at home and camping with her family and 2 dogs. Her favorite colors are blue and pink.
Ms. Brandy's energy in the classroom and the gym is infectious. She skillfully manages to balance being the most boisterous teacher with also being the most gentle and loving.
Ms. Mekenzie - Fully Certified Preschool Assistant Gym Teacher.

Education - Graduated from Chesapeake High school in 2019.
Her favorite things include eating Maryland crabs, cheeseburgers and loving on her many pet animals. Her favorite color is baby blue.
Ms. Mekenzie has a special talent of always meeting (and often exceeding!) the energy the children bring to the Gym. She loves to create games and challenges and is always willing to participate in anything the kids ask of her.
MAKEUP POLICY. While no tuition credit will be given for family vacations or times when a child is home due to illness, or misses class for any reason, Rolly Pollies does allow pre-scheduled make-up classes, when space allows. If a make-up time in the pre-school class is not available, a gym or open play session may be substituted for the missed class.
